Superstudio

1969

A work from the Istogrammi di Architettura series by Superstudio, founded in Florence in 1966.

Part of the radical architecture movement, the group questioned the role of design and its relationship to society. As founding member Adolfo Natalini wrote: “If design is merely an inducement to consume, then we must reject design…”

The Istogrammi series proposes a uniform, repeatable grid — a “behavioural scheme” that could be applied across objects, environments and architecture.

The original work is held by Drawing Matter, an organisation that explores the role of drawing in architectural thought and practice. We have collaborated with them to bring highlights from their extraordinary collection to a wider audience. Explore Drawing Matter here.

This is an archival giclée print on Hahnemühle Hemp 290 gsm fine art paper, made from 60% sustainable hemp fibre.

All prints are framed edge-to-edge as standard within a narrow-profiled box frame, with discreet spacers separating the print from the glass to create a clean, contemporary presentation.

Alternative mounting styles, specialist glazing, and other bespoke specifications can also be provided on request.

Lead Times

Our framed prints are made to order, and lead times vary depending on framing specification, workshop schedules, material availability or bespoke requests. If timings are critical, please contact us before placing an order.

Unframed prints: approximately 3–7 working days

Framed prints: approximately 2–4 weeks

Delivery

We deliver throughout the UK, most of Europe including Scandinavia, and North America. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout where applicable.

For larger orders, or deliveries outside these regions, shipping costs may be confirmed separately following purchase..
